This was taken up in the rhondda valleys in south wales. Looking at it, the image here has changed slightly due to the shift from adobe rgb to srgb colour spaces. Resizing hasnt helped either. Before going to srgb, a little more detail was visible but if viewed on black background then it should be better.

This was processed using several techniques as i wanted it to portray the mood that i swa, when taking the shot. Another one of those shots that has technical flaws but these were not so important for my style

It was not pushed in HDR but tonemapped and blended with layers. I hope it comes over roughly as i saw it, thanks for looking.

Technical flaws? If you say so. Beautiful image, though. You've really made the car look like it belongs there.

A gritty image, TWOCS are always a good subject. I was going to suggest the image was a bit dark due to clogged mid-tones but I notice all your images are a bit on the dark side. Maybe your technique or your monitor. Enjoyed the image.

ric: I dont think it is my monitor LOL, Ive adapted my photography to this style, The only mistake ive made here from my point of view ( as regards how i wanted the image to be seen) was to press the photo into srgb and to downsize it, which will never enable the photo to retain an exact feel as it did in photoshop. Ric, I love this one, my monitor gives the right light and I have to say the atmosphere you put into this one is great, LOVE it, I wished I have the knowledge of working with layers, I love to experiment, but when times comes, I will learn...

A characteristic image, Ric.. very recognisable as your style. I do recall seeing this before (or similar) and it provides a great social commentary on life today.The darkness seems to suit the subject nicely.

ric: Cheers alan, yep you have seen this before but it was weak compared to this IMO. I want to take more shots like this, maybe i should reload my beetle shot up again.

another good edit, it really does show the different effects that a totally different edit can have on an image
