Impressive photo - the choice to darken the photo really worked well.
I like this one a lot. And I'm sorry I've gotten behind in my shutterchance visiting, because now it seems I've missed some photos, and i doubt the thumbnails in my RSS reader will be too helpful! But I'm glad you're holding yourself to a high standard, and will look forward to the re-processed versions.
Great image Ric, very effective edit here, I love the eyes peering out of the gloomy darkness. great effort.
Those eyes are amazing, especially against the dark background. I've been tempted to take some of my images down and rework them, but in general I think life's too short! Also I have a sense that I'm getting better at this business and in a way the archive reflects that development.
Just excellent. Very nicely presented!
Thanks for the information, I was surprised but now I know why, this one is a great picture, love the eyes, I love the way you kept this kind of dark!!

Wow, I just love the way his face fades into the black This is one of the BEST owl photographs I have ever seen!
You are a twit-towoo, Ric!! Others have already given you very deserved accolades and I can only echo those comments. Beautifully done.. love those eyes!
Ric, I love it ! If anything I love it even more than the gorilla and you know what I thought of that.
Amazing shot! I love how the onlooker is drawn to the owl's eyes.
After visiting your photos I am appreciating that they have a special seal. Beams a good work!
Welcome to SC
wow
if your deleted photos are any close to this, then you may be a tad hard on yourself |
