Taking the picture.

Well, after a lengthy absense due to being dissilusioned with my work, i have decided to try my hand at my old stuff again. I dont seem to be able to get away from my favorite methods so will just have to put up with it.
Taken in bath at the romnan baths, it isnt a new photo but has had new treatment to it ( not HDR).
Thanks in advance to all those that have commented on my work in the past ( deleted). I hope that i wont bore you if one or two appear here again after further editing to make them appealing to me.
Good to be back and hope to speak to many of you again soon. And thanks for looking guys.

I'd curious to know what you did to get this look. It certainly makes this shot interesting.

ric: Thanks Martin, a lot of layer blending was done to get this, and i prefer to process 2 raw images and belnd in layers, rather than using HDR software, i prefer to be in control of all aspects of the editing if poss.

Ric, welcome back, I do love the way you work, I love the pp in this one, thanks for explaining, it always amazes me the posed people take to capture a picture, some really look ridiculous

well personally ric i feel you have done wonders with the image, the processing is beyond me, but for me it almost looks like the two ladies are part of a painting, excellent stuff

ric: Thank you tim ! the processing is not hard once you learn about layers, the rest falls into place ( easy to say it i know but if i can do it). Thanks for the comment tim.

Welcome back. Just leave your photos up for us to enjoy this time!! You may not like them but your public does! A very arty feel to this; nicely done without being OTT.

I am new to your site, Ric, and wish you had NOT deleted your other posts!

I think we ALL hav images we don't like any more but they are who we are and add to our growth process in photography. I hope you don't delete any more!!

This happens to be a place I just LOVE, having visited it in February last year. I LOVE how you processed it (I'm a real HDR fan, even if it's not the real thing). BRAVO.

ric: Thank you Ginnie, my work will be back up here in time as i edit them again. Im going there again when the weather gets better for some street shots. Hopefully the forum will include an idea i gave them, about meets, it will be good to advertise where your going so you can meet with others, thanks for the nice comment.

What could have been a mundane record shot has been pulled to an impressive level by your excellent editing skills Ric. The look is almost that of an oil painting, very well done. I'm not envious tho'........not much I'm not
